Early morning post breakfast one has to drive down to Chopta base to start trek for Tungnath and Chandrashila this complete trek is approximately 5kms to Chopta base. Tungnath temple is the highest Shiva temple in the world and is at a trek distance of 3.5 km which can be covered in 3hrs. The complete trek is covered with lush green meadows and one can see the entire range of snow-clad Himalayas. After reaching Tungnath one can enjoy the view of snow-clad Himalayan ranges and after a little refreshment can move further to Chandrashila which is at an altitude of 4100 meters above sea level and one can enjoy the 180-degree panoramic view of the Himalayas.
